I am Malaysian Chinese (part Hokkien), so you could say that thriftiness is in my blood. Marriage to a Foochow Chinese compounds this effect, creating a potent union that is the nightmare of traders and businesses everywhere.
Since 2008, my family and I have called Australia home. From time to time, they will feature in my posts, so let me introduce you:
B1 - Son, 14 years, likes soccer and computer games
Daughter - 12 years, likes ballet & interior decorating
B2- Son, 6 years, believes the world revolves around him.
I work part-time in a church, volunteer here and there, and find creative (aka cheapskate) ways to make our dollar stretch further.
